In Nov 2002 Canara Bank had issued Initial Public Offering (IPO) as a part of the disinvestment of in the banking sector / raisings of Capital by Govt of India, The share issue opened on 18 November 2002 and closed on 27 November 2002, while the company’s shares were officially listed on the stock exchanges on 23 December 2002.
